12th European GT-SUITE Conference

Gamma Technologies will be presenting the 12th European GT-SUITE Conference, being held on October 20, 2008 in Frankfurt/Main. The company is one of the leading providers of engine and vehicle simulation software in the industry. The main application fields of the CAE software GT-SUITE are the calculation of engine performance and fuel consumption, thermal management and engine mechanics. The all day conference is focused on engine and vehicle manufacturers and their suppliers: Engineers can exchange their experiences with each other and also with Gamma Technologies employees. Industry speakers will highlight the application of simulation software to a wide variety of topics including Hardware-in-the-Loop, lubrication and hybrid-powertrains. In the context of this English-language conference whose attendance is free of charge, Gamma Technologies will present the new version of the simulation software GT-SUITE 7.0.

For engineers, the development of powertrain systems continues to be increasingly more complex, partly because they have to account for the steadily more diverse und strict emission regulations worldwide. Therefore the importance of optimal integration of each separate subsystem and their evaluation is increasing continuously. Consequently, the focus of the GT-SUITE Conference is on ‘system optimization by integrated simulation’. The exchange of GT-SUITE simulation models between component developers and system engineers helps the industry to optimize the integration of subsystems earlier and more accurately. With presentations of Gamma Technologies and of customers – among others BMW, Daimler, FIAT and GM, the conference will be focused on engine developments using GT-POWER (acoustics, aftertreatment, turbocharging). In separate sessions GT-SUITE applications like cooling and oil circuits, fuel injection, hydraulics, vehicles, valvetrains and cranktrains will be covered. In addition, the participants will have the possibility to learn about the new Version 7.0 of the software GT-SUITE.

All models of vehicles and engines can be integrated in a virtual environment even at a very early stage of the development. For the user it means also a facilitation of this work, as until now the user had to contend with a combination of various different simulation software tools. People responsible for IT and for budgets should also be pleased with this solution, as there is now only one software license for all different applications allowing an easier administration and a much lower cost. Without GT-SUITE, a costly mixture of different tools from separate providers is necessary to optimize a complete system.
