Smedegaard Pumps have developed a new range of electronic energy saving Circulators under the banner of the IsoBar SimFlex.

Designed to be simple and flexible, the self regulating IsoBar SimFlex is simple to adjust, simple to install and flexible in operation, with the added advantage that all the existing three and four-speed EV range of Smedegaard glandless circulators up to 80mm can be replaced with the new range. The pump is also competitively priced being almost the same cost as a standard non self-regulating pump.

Designed for minimum energy consumption the self regulating Smedegaard IsoBar SimFlex can save between 40% and 60% of the energy consumption compared with a standard non self-regulating pump, adjusting automatically to the required duty. When installed in a system fitted with thermostatic radiator valves and operating in the self-regulating mode, the pumps will automatically vary the speed and power consumption, to meet the system requirements.

The motors are designed with internal stainless steel parts and bearings in carbon, providing a stable operation and long service life, as well as helping to reduce noise in the heating system. When operating in the self-regulating mode, the pumps can automatically reduce in speed to meet lower system requirements, reducing the noise level even further.

Wiring has been simplified with a new “plug in” electrical connector and the enhanced control regulator located on the side of the terminal box can be easily adjusted to give one of four specific performance curves or automatic speed regulation. Two light emitting diodes are positioned on the front of the terminal box for indication of power on or fault condition.
